Gift Giving

Most religions have a tradition of visiting the sick. Some have organized "Visit the Sick" committees. Visiting the sick is considered one of the most important religious obligations.

The BEDSCAPES Healing Visits tote pack is used for this purpose by members of religious congregations and their ministers, priests, rabbis, chaplains, and other members of the clergy - whether visiting congregants in the hospital, nursing home, rehab facility, hospice or, the site of more and more convalescence, the home.

A Healing Visit is easy to make:

  • Bring Healing Visits tote pack to the hospital (or home) room (bring cassette player, too.)
  • Hang the photomural on the cubicle curtain
  • Turn on the cassette player
  • Enjoy a new quality of visiting - a Healing Visits experience!
  • Leave Healing Visits behind at the end of the visit so the sweetness of the visit continues in between visits.

When the congregant leaves the hospital (or is no longer convalescing at home), Healing Visits" will then be available to provide comfort to your next hospitalized congregant.

    - The BEDSCAPES Healing Visits tote pack not only provides comfort for the sick congregant, it helps to remind the congregant, especially in difficult and lonely times, that they are a beloved member of the community.

Congregants donate the tote pack to celebrate a happy occasion, and in memory of a loved one. As a re-usable convalescence tool, it is a gift that keeps on giving, putting their concern, compassion and caring, into action.
